Consumer Credit Counseling Service adds new Board Member
Gene Obie, Southern’s Collection Supervisor, has recently joined the CCCS Board of Directors. CCCS of Southern Oregon is a non-profit community organization offering personal counseling for individuals needing help with budget and credit needs.
Southern has long been a supporter of financial literacy and quality education and counseling for consumers. Many of the people we deal with have so little understanding of their finances and the impact credit decisions have now and for years into the future. Gene is very excited to be part of an organization that has helped over 50,000 people. Gene is helping with an upcoming event for CCCS; Safety Saturday, to be held in the Rogue Valley Mall parking lot on Saturday June 25th from 10:00 to 2:00.
There will be free document shredding and a number of other activities for families to get more information on safety and the impact of identity theft. Gene joined Southern as a collector in September 1993, was a Commercial Collector for several years, and was promoted to Collection Supervisor in September 2007. CCS of Southern Oregon has offices in Medford and Klamath Falls. For more information, click here.
